You will need
Step 1
Put half a cup of water in each bowl.
Step 2
Add 4-5 drops of food colouring. For a stronger colour, add a few more drops.
Step 3
Use a spoon to put the coloured water into sections in the ice cube tray.
Step 4
Make orange, green and purple sections by mixing:
a) Red and yellow = orange
b) Yellow and blue = green
c) Red and blue = purple
Step 5
Put the ice cube tray on flat surface in the freezer.
Step 6
After 30 minutes, take the ice cube tray out. The coloured water should be a little bit frozen. Put a lolly stick in each coloured section and put back in the freezer.
Step 7
After the water is completely frozen (3-4 hours), take out the ice cube tray and leave to stand for 5 minutes. Gently twist the tray and take out the ice cube paints.
Step 8
Put the ice cube paints on a plate. Take a large piece of white paper. Have fun making lines, shapes and drawings with your ice cube paints!
