eCo: Connect
eCo: Connect is a great project for both primary and secondary aged children to participate in. Over the school year the ootiboo team will add new questions from environmental scientists or sustainability experts on important ecology topics.
The questions are designed to encourage debate and research among students. Teachers then share their students' thoughts and ideas in our moderated forum, where both experts and other ootiboo schools can give feedback.
Our aim is to connect schoolchildren with the changemakers of today, in order to give them a voice and inspire them to be the changemakers of tomorrow.
eCo: Connect - Q1
Our very first eCo: Connect question comes from Marc Buckley from Hamburg, Germany.
His question centres around devising sustainable goals for 30 years time.
eCo: Connect - Q2
Our second eCo: Connect question comes from Jennifer von Walderdorff, based in Berlin, Germany,
Her question asks students to consider ways the clothes they no longer wear could have a second life.
eCo: Connect - Q3
Our third eCo: Connect question comes from Dr Vandana Shiva in Delhi, India.
Her question asks students to think about the seeds and crops that are most important to their region.
