Check out our exciting prizes for 2024 for all ages in the [competition](https://play.ootiboo.com/projects/ootiboo/competition) area. These prizes are awarded to stand-out entries - not just the most artistic - as ootiBOO! is an inclusive project for any ability. The main thing is to have fun!

So follow the steps below, and get creative!

Use your imagination to come up with a scary (or funny!) monster. Use any materials or medium you like!

You could carve a pumpkin (children need to be supervised by a responsible grown-up), paint or draw a design, or make a model. The possibilities are endless!

What unusual idea can you come up with? 

We will also provide some downloadable colouring templates for younger kids - and anyone who wants to join in but has limited time!

Once you are finished, scan or take a picture of your creation.  Just to let you know, we only accept images of your entry, not video clips.


Now it’s time to share your fabulous creation with everyone.

Once the competiton has opened, you will be able to select the button below and follow some simple instructions to upload your ootiBOO! creation.

Check back to see your ootiBOO! entry and all the other creations in our Gallery. Allow up to 48 hours for your entry to appear on the platform, as all images are moderated to ensure suitability. 

Make sure to let friends and family know, so they can join in and spread some joy, fun and creativity!

Submitting an entry to ootiBOO! will earn you one point towards your first/next Super Creative certificate.

Submitting 20 entries or more, either directly through school or via pupil's submissions from home, will earn you one point towards your first/ next Super Schools certificate.

**Please note, only one point can be earned per person/school for this project**

This project is validated by the Children's University (CU). 

To get your stamp code for your entry, all you have to do is take a photo of your creation and submit it here (not via the Children's University). Just let us know you're part of the Children's University in the “How did you hear about the project?” box, and we'll email you your stamp code for taking part once we've processed your entry and added it to the Gallery.

International competition

To mark the publication of _Terror Tower_, the sixth and final book in the terrifying _Dread Wood_ series by the brilliant Jennifer Killick, we teamed up with Farshore to make ootiBOO! 2024 as monstrous as possible.

 

Dread Wood High is a school like no other!

 

Meet Angelo, Hallie, Gustav and Naira, also known as Club Loser. In each horrifying book, the four friends will face fearsome foes at school – giant spiders that fire poison darts, brain biting worms that burrow into your flesh and vampire birds that drink your blood! Can Club Loser stop these creatures from destroying humanity and make it out alive? Read it and see, if you dare!

The recommended reading age for the _Dread Wood_  series is 9+, but the ootiBOO! competition is open for any age to take part.

We have had entries from the UK, Germany, Namibia, Ukraine, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, Switzerland, Iran, Latvia, Greece, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan and Pakistan! Bear in mind that the pins on our map only relate to the general town or city entries comes from, not a specific address.
