My Emotions
My Emotions
This project is a beautiful way for children aged 5 to 11 to explore and understand their emotions through a delightful poem and charming animal characters. Perfect for both in-school and at-home settings, the 'My Emotions' project can be used with entire classes, small groups, or individual children.
At the heart of the project is a poem by Emily Bayne-West featuring beloved characters from Laura Helen Brown's My Emotions Activity Book.

We focus on three key emotions - loneliness, gratitude, and worry - that children often express while participating in the 'My Emotions Activity Book.'
By addressing these emotions, we aim to reassure educators and parents of the program's relevance while highlighting the importance of gratitude for overall well-being.
An adult who knows the children well should lead the program to ensure its effectiveness and sensitivity.
The activities introduce three charming characters, each representing a different emotion, helping children understand that experiencing a wide range of feelings is perfectly normal.
Educators, parents, and carers will find the program easily adaptable to their needs. You can tailor the exploration of emotions to what's most relevant for the children, making it a flexible and responsive tool.
Our My Emotions friends
We are thrilled to feature all the animal characters from Lauraβs βMy Emotions Activity Bookβ in this project. However, the three main heroes are Emme the stork, Blessing the bear, and Harry the crab. This project is dedicated to children worldwide!
